Just as a "heads-up" there is a "normal" run on the third Sunday of each month over in the Daniel Boone National Forest, which is surrounding the Red River Gorge area. There is also a "chile run" on Sept. 19th, with trails on private land opened to the event, raffle, cookout and an all around good time. The family is definately welcome on thany of these rides, monthly included. The "chile run" is a $20 per vehicle run, but the money raised goes to the volunteer firehouse for the tricity area to help pay the propane and maintence bills. All levels of builds and driver experince are encouraged.

I should have stated that. Sorry for the oversight. The "chile run" and the normal rides are started close to the town of Slade, Ky, which is located within walking distance of the Natural Bridge (Limestone arch) in the Red River Gorge here in Kentucky. Slade is located on the Burt T. Combs Mountain Parkway.
As for the LBL/ Turkey Bay area, it is on my list of places to go see one day. I have been planning to get there sometime this year, if possible, as I have been invited by several folks and the trails look pretty good. I also plan on making it down to Harlan someday again. It was pretty unusual to see a quad/atv go through the drivethrough at the McDs'.

yeah, I know the "wife planned logistics" thing. Mine has tried off and on to do that to for the last 19 years running. Oh, well. I am still going to try and make the LBL run, and then I WILL be at the "chile run", since I get to be a trailleader. Look at the LBL thread, read what I have up and let me know what you guys think, please.
