2. Will the 4.O Destroy my 2.9 auto trany

van is 4wd auto tranny can I use the Torque converter on my trany?

thank you

luv my king cab ranger, hopefully I can figure wth I am going to do with it :dunno::dunno:

You will need to make some changes...

the Aerostar exhaust manifolds are unique to the Aerostar,
You will need a set of Ranger/Explorer Exhaust manifolds to
make the 4.0 hook up to your exsisting Y-pipe/Cat (Yes, it fits!)

And I would recommend using the Torque converter from the Aerostar.

If you are gentle with the go pedal the trasn will hold up for a while.

If you used the 2.9 converter you'd be more likely to break things.
