I need to put a swaybar in my truck, it has WildHorses Rockcrawler 5.5" EB springs, and it's a regular cab long bed.
I took my stock swaybar out, when my truck was stock. I was thinking due to the fact my truck is much taller, with a much softer suspension, maybe I should put a stiffer swaybar in it. Or maybe I should put a stock one back in..?
I was thinking of possibly a 1st Gen Exploder sway bar. Anyone know if it'll bolt up? Or have a better idea?

I've got 7" EB coils and have put on more then 40xxxkm's over the last year, I don't have a swaybar on mine and it rides great. Are you having body roll issues, tried driving it yet?

I don't have one either. Suspension is stupid soft (3.5" WH coils softer than the 5.5"), but drives fine. I just tell other people to be aware of it if they happen to drive my truck (alignment guy).

i dont have a sway bar but i want to put one on since my truck leans like crazy. i would use the factory sway bar but the steering box is in the way. i may just have to save up for an Antirock swaybar.

Really now...? No swaybars. OK then.
Yeah, I haven't driven mine yet, I still gotta get a rear in it.
Guess It'll all depend on how it drives.
c_note, diddn't you drive completely across the country with yours? How was it at high speeds? What is the spring-rate of your coil-overs, probably stiffer than the crawler springs?

EB sas on a 84 i have standard rate coils, get a good alignment and set the trakbar right and angle it right, shouldnt have any problems. Mine has some death wobbles on big bumps but i think its cuz my coils ride like a rock and it shifts the whole truck to one side. I am going to try softer coils maybe. I tried the 5.5 deavers but they were just like XJ coils and were sagging alot on my v8 swap.

its damn good at high speeds. if your alignment is off(which mine is finaly good now), your worries are at about 40 to 60 mph where you get the death wobble. my truck rides pretty smooth other than when i try to haul ass offroad. i need to change the valving in the shocks but once i get it tuned, it could keep up with prerunners. as for coil rates, i have 325# over 375# which puts my shocks right at 6" of up and 4" down travel.
im still looking for a good deal on another set of coilovers but i might just get a new set of bodies and shafts at 2" longer to get my 12" of travel. i dont even need it as it flexes pretty good already but i think its just a matter of "want".
