let me know what you think

What do you polish them with? Aluminum is naturally a dull looking metal. The oxide is what makes aluminum bright, almost mirror like. If you polished enough you could have gone through the oxide.

there was a write up on this on another site, just take some plasit-kote paint stripper, spray them and let them set for a little. The stuff will turn to a goo like constistance, then just spray them down with water. and wash them. if they are still not shiny enough, polish them with an aluminum cleaner and like a powerball or something. once you get them to that perfect shine, clean them again and dry them off really well, then clearcoat them again, and they'll be good as new!

My truck detailer used some kind of acid wash....... and did that to my turbo (before I had a polished one) and all my diamond plate on my sled puller.

It was awesome.
But...... i don't even wash my own vehicles, I just take it to him, or let it rain. lol

i use noxon metal polisher, it works wonders....i had 4 layers of acrylic paint on my exhaust tip...i used paint remover and noxon, now it looks brand new!!!!
