I'm swapping a fm145 over to a m5od.
The fm145 has a breather fitting on the top of the tranny.
The m5od doesn't. I've heard that it breathes through the shifter bushing of through the 3 rubber plugs on the end of the top plate.
Is it recommended to drill and tap a barb into the top and run a line higher?
I've run a line from the fm145 up into the engine compartment, so prevent water entry.

Breather on the M5od's are build into that top pivot...there's a groove in the 'stub' that sticks out of the top of the trans which provides breathability.

As far as adding an extention? I don't think it's possible.

ok, if the breather is that high already, then i'll just cap off my existing line and leave it alone.

yeah...it's practically in the cab already.
