stronger more reliable transmission

I have a A4ld tranny and it just took a shit on me not too long ago and its getting worse everyday. 1st the reverse went out on it and now when im driving around corners or slowing down it starting to grind gears and not shift properly. Im thinking im just gonna drop that tranny and get a new one but i need some input on what to get. I dont want another A4ld if this is gonna happen again. Is there any other trannys i can get that are stronger and more reliable if so where can i find them at? Has anybody else done this?

I believe a C5 auto also bolts in, but someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

But yes, the M5OD manual is a great tranny.

what exactly entails in a M5OD swap? Are there any parts kit to make the A4LD better then it is?

M5OD swap includes
Tranny, clutch components, starter, flywheel, pedals, computer.. etc

An A4LD is a shitty tranny, no matter what you do to it.
