ecu code output on all the time

Can't read any codes, engine runs very ruff, smells like it's burning rich and has very little power. Is the ECU Bad and it's running in some sort of safe mode?

Well I found out that it is shot. Does anybody know where I can pick up a new one? I don't need a used ECM. I've tried pep boys and I was so exicted that they said it would be 181 and change then I came into order it and the kid called the warehouse and told me that they discontuned it. I need it to be on the cheaper price so..........

How did you determine the ECU is bad? Usually that diagnosis is made with swapping in a known working one.

You're not going to find new ECMS that are 17 years old. Used is the only way you can go on this one. There are quite a few on car-part.com under $50...
