Ok. Here's a good one. 94 4.0L 5sp 2wd. New clutch kit, reman tranny, new flywheel, u joints less than a year old, clutch kit includes new slave. The only thing I haven't replaced is the master & me. Shutters in 1st & reverse. Here's the best part. It was doing the same thing before the new clutch, flywheel & reman tranny.

Ideas??? :dunno:
 
Did you have the flywheel machined?

And if you did where did you take it to have it machined?

There are several ways to machine a flywheel, but only ONE correct way.

The Correct way is on a (rotary) blanchard grinder

Most machine shps don't have the proper machine
(a cheap machine capable of doing the job runs $30grand)
so most shops "cheat" and cut the flywheel on a rotor lathe
with inferior results.
