Dontcha just hate those spring hangers? I had one break and wondered what the hell was clanking around for a couple weeks, thought it was my spare tire until I was walking out of a store and noticed my truck bed sitting funny.

Nice truck. I know about the spring hanger woes, doing the same thing, tractor tires. Nice work on the fix too!

Come to Maine. My 2000 looks like that underneath. It'll need spring hangers on both sides in the next year or two.

Nice lookin' truck, reminds me of mine - just a different color :headbang:
 
Nice job.... i welded the hangers up in my 95 last year with some flatt stock, they were close to doing that... i replaced just 2 weeks go tho, in an overhaul... luckily it was still at home when it happened
 
add me to the f***ed spring hanger list. I broke one wheeling and didn't know until the truck was crab walking driving down the street.

But then again mines a 94. Half of the cross members, brackets, etc on these frames look like they were meant to grab and hold mud, salt, and water to expediate corrosion. Seeing this I'm suprised mine lasted so long.
 
The weld broke on my shackle a couple of years ago running around town empty, I had my dad reweld it and it is better than new now.

I have had two 13.6-38's in the back mounted on JD B rims and it held just fine.

What is your tire for? Dad has those shortbar/longbar Goodyears on his Case, they pull pretty good.
 
i sandblasted the whole frame and painted it and put on new shocks too... forgot to take pics but it turnd out nice... that tire was for the tractor i was takin it to the tire shop.. it was a bad tire that some dumb ass at good year kept on the assmbly line had a patch on the inside and poked a hole in the tube
 
so...what ya'll are trying to say is that you don't want to see my 2001 frame? lol...(shhh...flawless no rust btw). lol! Rustbelt sucks doesn't it!?!?!!
