This is a really nice article. I was hoping that somebody might have the CAD files for the cutting of these parts. Please reply if you could share them.

Thanks!

He's a no-good-fer-nothing Jack ass.

His brackets are weak, and won't stand up the rigors of offroad use.

Other ideas

That all being said....does anyone have any alternate ideas or plans for fabricated TTB drop brackets?

I have no problem fabricating them myself, but dont have a spare set of brackets to work off of.

Thanks for the quick feedback. Honestly, I am a competent metalworker (machinist and fabricator) by trade, and the bracket design in the article looks quite sturdy as long as the welds are done properly and a good grade of steel is used. I am interested in gaining more lift for larger tires, but am not looking to build a rock climber.

CopyKat is slightly biased.... sort of.

I always thought they were good looking brackets, he just isn't offering them to the masses.

Well played Sir!

I guess the joke is on me! LOL I've never heard anyone so critical of their own work!

And I actually liked the brackets.....

Perhaps if it is not snowing this weekend, I will take some measurements from the installed brackets under the truck and draw something up in Solidworks.

That's too bad, They are good looking brackets. I also thought that the internal bracing with the short sections of pipe was an excellent design. I was just hoping someone might have a cad drawing that I might use. I have access to a NC plasma table and press brake and could handle the rest and have them on before the snow flies here.

Would you be willing to pay a few bucks for DXF CAD files? I take no liability if they fail.

Exactly the reason that I will never get rid of the set of brackets he built me :tease:

I think that would be fine. I'll message you my email address and we can work it out.
