It's been called many things... The Incredible Hulk, The Jolly Green Giant, and most commonly, The Jalapeno!

2005, Ex-Cab, 2WD... It was actually a former fleet truck. Does the name Plymart ring a bell to any of my Georgia natives??

Before:
05 Ranger... "The Jalapeno"

I snagged it from a used car lot around the corner from my office for 6,500 bucks... 89,000 miles, immaculate condition (I thought it was a steal).
From that point on, the pepper started gettin a little spicy :icon_twisted:

After:
05 Ranger... "The Jalapeno"

Here she is, almost 11,000 miles later. Threw some 31x10.50 BFG A/T's on there, new rims, and a couple other little goodies

05 Ranger... "The Jalapeno"

Took the camper shell off, sold it to a buddy of mine for the bedrails you now see on there, a westin brushguard you have yet to see on there, and a little extra cash.

Put the Sony head unit in almost immediately after i bought the truck.. and let me tell ya, for 85 bucks it did wonders for the stock speakers (not that they're going to stay stock for long :D).

And last but not least, the Jalapeno front license plate!!!!! Hahaha...

Well, this is my daily driver, but it is far from finished. The next few mods will include: a Kicker sub and Rockford Fosgate amp, 20% window tint, mounting that brushguard, and a little further down the road, 5.5 to 6 inches of lift and 33x12.50's :headbang:

Let me know what you guys think!

Lookin great man. Sweet truck and a great deal on the purchase!
Love the rims, keep addin' stuff!

I like it! Very unique color. I think it's begging for a Edge grille though...and the 'styled' manual mirrors...you seriously need to ditch those 'flag' mirrors.

Thanks guys!

Yeah i was thinking about adding the newer mirrors... would they just bolt on?

Where's the STICK? lol

I like the color, and what you have done with it!

Thanks guys!

Yeah i was thinking about adding the newer mirrors... would they just bolt on?

I was thinking more like these mirrors...stock 98-05 'styled' manual mirrors. Do nothing but swap mirrors for these ones...

Or....you thinking about the newer ones? 06+'s. If so, you'll need to drill out the holes in the door, then use washers on the backside so your nuts have something to press against. 06+ doors are slightly different than 05 and older in only the mirror mounting aspect.

I had no idea that the mirrors you have were available on a truck so new. With all due respect, I agree with the guys who suggested swapping them out. The "other style" mirrors up to '05 will bolt right up, but as Wannabe said, the '06 and up mirrors require some work. This time around, I'm going to stay out of the debate of whether or not you should get the genuine Ford mirrors, or the OEM style aftermarket mirrors.

Your truck looks great, though. Very very nice!

kudos, it looks great keep it up.:clapping:

LOL Jay!

IMO...those mirrors are semi-plentiful at the junkyards in OEM used condition. Hit up your local junkyards...but if that's not an option....if you can afford the OEM Ford, that's what I'd do, and that's what I actually did do. Really...it's your choice to go OEM or not. Me, I prefer OEM after having an aftermarket replacement on my truck.

UMMMM...idk whats wrong but not my pics I posted are wrong. lol. Here's the CORRECT first pic i swear I posted...

98-05 'styled' mirrors...

OOOOH... see i thought that the squarer mirrors were the ones you were speaking of... I was wondering why you posted the same picture twice haha.
Do you mind me asking how much you paid for both of your 06+ mirrors?

Oh and in regards to my mirrors, it was a fleet truck, so it's PLAIN PLAIN Jane... power nothing, i'm suprised it's an automatic :icon_rofl:

Oh, and thank you to everyone for the nice remarks! I've been a visitor to this site since i bought the truck in January (actually was referred by a buddy of mine), and it's been a wealth of information. I'm even more excited to be active in the forums, you all seem like great guys!

Haha! I was waiting for something i was a little proud of to post on here... It's not exactly where I want it to be but it's getting there. :icon_welder:
