was just wondering if anyone else did their undercoating this way:
i like using the 3M brand because of its looks and performance on exterior parts. once i have all 2-3 coats of the undercoating on and it has dried completely, i then cover over that with 2-3 coats of something like the Krylon clear spray. i usually use the matte or the satin clear. it appears to be a plastic type of coating, adheres well to the 3M, and prevents it from rubbing off so fast. also very easy to touch up without having to apply more undercoating.
i've done that to bumpers, rockers, etc. for the past couple of years and am very pleased with the results. keeps the undercoating from rubbing off onto your clothes if you bump up against it. let me know your thoughts or experiences.
