is it possible to take a dis ignition block and convert it to a distibutor to run a turbo ecu?

I'm running the DIS on a '86 turbo engine, if wired right it doesn't care... it's been done with EDIS like your '99 has but I don't know the specifics, I know the regular DIS like used in the early '90's isn't that hard
where might i find some information on this?
