Does anyone know if the 4wd explorer 1992 model year with the A4ld will fit into the 1993 model year Ranger with 4wd and both have 4.0 engines ?

If both are 4.0 engines and 4x4s, then yes they should be interchangeable. However, they may be some minor differences which someone else more knowledgeable about earlier models can tell you about.
 
Yep, they are both in the same "interchange window"

90-94 Ranger and 91-94 explorer are "free swapping"
on most things...
