Twice when it's been working hard (pulling boat, A/C on, 100 degree desert temps outside) and I shut it down and try to restart it 15 minutes later it idles poorly, like it's not hitting on all cylinders. In 30 seconds or so it smooths out to normal.

The temp gauge is always in the middle of the normal range, or cooler.

Is this the MAF? Coil pack? Vapor lock?

If it's not a sign of anything serious I'll proibably just monitor the problem as it's only occured twice so far and is short lived.

If it was vapor lock you wouldn't be able to start it at all. Do you have the A/C on when you start the truck? The added stress of running the compressor on start-up can make it idle a little bit poorly sometimes.

No, A/C is off. I forgot to mention no codes, and well tuned up.

Could be severl things

No, A/C is off. I forgot to mention no codes, and well tuned up.

But I'd start with the IAC.. After 15 minutes sitting on a hot engine it may be soaking up too much heat. and after cooling down a few * acts normally.
