4.0 lack of power

I have a 94 4.0 5 spd ext cab 4x4. I am having a problem with my wide open throttle. If you ease into the throttle there is no problem. but if you go all the way to the floor, the motor seems to be missing. it maxs out at 2500 rpms. new plugs, new pcv, new air filter. Not sure what to check next.

change your fuel filter, make sure you gaped all your plugs to spec, then i would look at fuel regulator or air intake controls
My truck did this after having it for two weeks it had new plugs and wires but who ever changed them had them at .32 and they needed to be at .52 so i got new ones and problem solved

also check ur maf, buy sum cheap maf cleaner($4) at fleet and clean it up, that fixed my buddies, his wuld jsut die on the highway, ude accel and it would slow down, turns out he didnt have the back tabs on his airbox locked in

I had a similiar problem with a new cheap 9 dollar coil on my other truck. Turns out I should have bought the 32 dollar coil to begin with. Never had that problem again.

my 302 explorer it was the fuel pump getting weak. then it failed 6 months after the sysptoms started. fuel pressure at idle was good

Problem solved maf was dirty. Just a little piece of dirt could shut down the whole truck. alright lets go play in the mud.
