1. I think on trucks of that vintage, they still have a cable for the speedometer on the transmission/transfer case with the sensor on the axle for the RABS.

2. There should be a switch on the transmission, check to make sure it works. If it doesn't and is getting power like it should you need a new one.

3. ?? Need more info. Could be anything from a disconnected linkage to a dead racoon jammed in the door. You are going to need to pull off the interior door panel to see what isn't working, at least you have the bonus of a working door to see how things are supposed to work.

4. Do all the lights work when the headlights come on? The amber parking lights should be on with the headlights. If they do come on with the headlights, you might try a different switch.

There is a sensor that goes on the end of the spedo cable right before the trans It only costs about $20 usually it is the problem if the speedo don't work

Oh sorry also, if the door don't open, most likely the latch or handle is rusted or jammed. Also both very common

3. the truck sat for 2 years with the passanger side against a fence and the door was never opened during that time perion

4. no they do not , i installed a different switch because the dash lights were acting up to , the new switch solved the dash lights , not the park lights , and for additional info , i checked the power at the socket , only got 0.07 volts , same coming out of the switch. i know the switch is good because i tested all the lights on the vehicle it came out of before i took them all out

that is what i figured

well i got all the lights fixed , took it for a test drive and she died , so i replaced the relay plugs because the wires were rotted off , still nothing , so i checked the spark coming from the coil , i forgot how that tingles so much , then checked the plug wires , zilch. Took off the distributor cap and the rotor and cap look new , so i think the module is bad. I went to take the module off and could only get one screw out.

any suggestions on how to get the other out ?
