New to syracuse, NY, places to wheel?

Hello, any one know of some nice wheeling spots in upstate New York, i'm up visiting folks for a while and would like too see some off roading, maybe camping too or hiking. I would just like to get out and test my truck and see some of this beautiful state. Nothing too serious my truck is all stock except for the tires 30-9.5 buckshot mudders. thanks for any suggestions...

hey seeing how you have a stock truck, you might like exploring happy valley. it is an area of state land and it has alot of dirt roads running through it. they are all easilly passible and its a nice area for a drive. you can take I-81 North to Parish(rt 69) and head east. then just about any road heading N. will take you that way. i have found alot of other dirt roads up in that area, just have to drive around for them. there are also a few local clubs if you havent found them yet: www.twistedaxles.com and then the local jeep club, www.cnyjeep.org i stay off that site because i dont know how anti everything but jeep they are.
