My transmission in my truck has been slipping in reverse for a while now but ive been babying it. The other day after i replaced the hub assembly the transmission started whining, almost like a power steering pump whine but it goes up and down in pitch as you change speed. If I drop from drive to 2nd the whine almost completely stops. Drive and OD both whine. Im considering rebuilding the trans but wanted to see if there was maybe an easy fix. If not what kind of job is it to rebuild and add a shift kit to a 4r44e.
