Hey guys,
My dad borrowed my truck today to go out of town and he called me when he got up there and told me had some issues. According to him, the clutch pedal is not doing anything. He said it felt funny going in, but when he went to release it (I'm not sure the pedal comes back up), it did very little. As far as I can tell, the clutch is barely releasing or it is just slipping because of fluid on the disc.
Basically, I'm just trying to find out if there is a known issue with my truck. It's a 1996 with the 2.3, manual transmission, 2 wheel drive. It has between 120-150k miles (don't know, the odometer is broken), but it was very well taken care of by the previous owner's mechanic.
A few months ago, I had an issue with the clutch while I was at school. It ended up being low on fluid, but I never saw any leaks or drips.
My assumption now is that the slave cylinder is bad and leaked onto the clutch assembly, but that is without seeing or feeling what is going on.
thanks in advance,
Jake
