OK, here's the deal. My check engine light came on, I checked it, it said cyl. 1 misfire. I checked the spark plugs, didn't work. I checked the wires, didn't work. I started checking the coils, 4 worked fine, but 1 didn't work. I put an ohm meter to it, and got a good readout on both. So if anyone has any idea what could be causing the misfire, if the coil doesn't fire up, but getting a good readout, something doesn't add up. Any guesses what I should try next? I'd appreciate it. Thanks!!

When mine came on and I had a misfire I replaced the plugs and wires and erased the code and it didn't come back on. Also, you said you checked your plugs and wires and they didn't "work". I'd start by replacing those, erasing the code, then test driving it. I don't know the exact drive cycle but driving a few miles or 30-45 minutes should be able to trigger it again if it's something else.

what i meant by didnt work is no spark. i tried a new plug and new wire still nothing. no spark from no. 1 from either coil (2.3l dual coil) front coil checked out ok on the ohm check (2ohm primary, 14.3k secondary)

Never mind. !!!!!!!!!!!
