I have a 1996 Ford ranger with a 3.0, the 4r44e is bad in it . I just got a 2002 Ranger with a 3.0 and a 5r44e the engine in the 2002 is locked up but the transmission is an excellent shape. It is impossible for me to find a 4r44e, so I acquired this truck for $500.00 . I have stripped my engine down to the heads I have pull the wiring harness and the onboard computer out of the 2002 along with the transmission and now reassembling the 96 has anyone ever done this before, one of the problems I am facing is the fuel injection system on the 2002 has one fuel line going to it, where my 96 has a fuel line going to the injectors and a return line going to the tank. Any help would be greatly appreciated in this matter.
