anyone know what the trans in a 90 f-150 with a 351 and 4 wheel dirve be. thats what i got going into my ranger

It's one of three: AOD, E4OD or a C-6. The AOD is stamped "Metric" on the pan. The C-6 is a three speed auto. The E4OD is a humongous 4 speed transmission that holds 4 gallons of oil.
I believe they also put the ZF 5-speed behind the 351 didn't they?

its a four speed and its a huge thing. was told that this is the trans they put in the 3/4 ton. when my dad brought the truck from a ford dealer they called it a heavy half. so maybe its a e4od
