1995 Ford Ranger Problems

I got a 1995 Ford Ranger and when I accelerate it makes a loud rumbling noise coming from the rear and it doesn't make that noise in reverse. What do you think could be the problem. thanks

could be the rear end going out. try draining the fluid out of it and see if there is a lot of metal shavings or bearing parts in the fluid.
