fuel injector sizes

are the fuel injectors in a 96 2.3l smaller than the ones in a 2001 2.5l. my trucks running lean i just swapped a 2001 2.5l in my 96 but i am using the 2.3l fuel injectors. also its has a miss fire in cylinder 1 HELP!!

so you're trucks the 96 2.3L, but your '96 has a '01 2.5L in it...
why wouldn't you put the injectors for the '01 motor in with it? i would expect it to be lean, maybe not much, but it will be lean. try and find a size up

Do you have the oxygen sensor hooked up?

Although the delivery rate of the injectors might differ, the ECM will vary the on time to compensate for a lean condition. But the sensor has to be in place.
