All you do is hook the positive and negative up with the speaker wire on the amp. Do not use the ground for the amp, use the negative for the speaker wire.

seems too easy to be true! very cool effect though.. can this be done on subwoofers too i assume? since they are just a speaker anyway...
where exactly are these mounted though.. do you have them hooked up on a switch or anything? otherwise they play during the day.. and that's just a waste... hope you don't have epilepsy btw! lol

I have these set up on my MTXs, they're two 12" MTXs on a 450W Coustic amp. And I don't have a switch, they on all the time. But on the same note they're LEDs they last forever...lol

is it literally as easy to hook these up as you made them sound?
light - > power cables - > positive or negative on speaker wire
that's it?
can we get some pictures of the truck lit up in daytime to see the set up?
also, are they just a basic LED strobe type of light? would any LED set up work? (wouldn't a competition vehicle hooked up on tailights to the speakers... that'd be cool.. or all the interior lights would flash in sync with the music lol... that would be awesome, but obviously would have to have everything on a switch, or don't drive it at night lol)

They're mounted on the side, having them inside a sealed box would be kinda pointless...lol
They're Sho-Me strobe compatible lights, I bought them with some others that had a built in flasher but these didn't so I hooked them up to the subs. You can also do it with neons and other lights. My friend had them mounted under the front seats of his Civic and it looked awesome...lol

Very cool man! In theory, if you didn't use strobe compatible lights, would they just pulse with the music? I guess I mean, would they dim?

didn't know if you had plexi glass front or anything on your box... i realize you can't see light through wood
lol jki'm really considering doing this... and then maybe setting up a pair of just LED's to glow on the cab ground hooked up to the sub as well, or would it just be easier to hook them up to my dash speakers since it will be shorter?
what gauge wire did you use?
interesting thought, if i understand you correctly you want to know if they will get brighter with each "beat" of music, and then completely shut off or just dim in between hits? i am interested in knowing too. but you might as well go LED with any light upgrades now a days it seems... last way longer, less heat production, more reliable as there is no filament... etc etc
