explorer guage cluster to ranger

the guage cluster my truck came with has no tachometer, so i got a guage cluster out of an explorer that has a tachometer. if i swap the explorer guage cluster into my truck will everything function. it looks like they both have the same type of connections. so will this work?
 
I believe you're good with a 90-92 cluster. IIRC, something changed with the wiring in 93. I've moved clusters back and forth between '94 Explorers and 2.3 Rangers with no problem. Direct plug and play swap.
