i have currently 3.50 and i want to change to a 4.88. do i need any special modifications or can i just buy the ring and pinion?

for the ford 9" you just have to buy the gears, but for the 44 you have to buy a "offset" carrior.. basicly you need a carrior that has more offset than stock.

i was thinking about 5.13 maybe or higher. the 35" tires i have now are onlyl temporary until i do the motor swap. then i will be sittion on 40's.
