i tryed to permanently lock my vacuum operated hubs. help please!

i tryed to permanently lock my vacuum operated hubs as explained in the tech library and it didnt work my hubs are still randomly unlocking. should i disconnect the vacuum lines and cap them? thanks
 
I'd just get a set of AVM manual locking hubs and slap them on. You'll know when your hubs are locked and unlocked.

Tellico4x4 usually has them in stock.
 
cant really afford them right know so i am just trying to get it to work for now. any ideas?
