Are there any other axle shafts that will work in a BII 7.5 rear diff?

My passenger side axle shaft is pitted on the bearing surface. I have first gereration Ranger 7.5 diff sitting around and I'm wondering if either of the axle shafts from it will work.

Somebody told me that the left axle shaft from a Ranger diff is the same as the right axle shaft from a BII diff.

pull the covers off and yank the axles.then hold them up to each other and compare or measure them.you might also try those axle saver bearings or whatever they're called.they move the bearing surface outboard on the shaft.i don't really like them though it can be hard to get them to seat in the axle tube and they are more expensive.

No the left side shaft from the Ranger is the same as the left side shaft from a bronco2.

NOTHING other than another bronco2 right side shaft is the correct length for the right side of a Bronco2.
