well im trying to get a 1 piece driveshaft for the rear of my ext cab ranger, an the local wrecker yard has an 08 ext cab but im not sure if its 2wd or 4wd does that matter? will it still work? an i read in the tech libray that the new rangers have a bigger tcase flange on the drive shaft. can i buy a new flange to bolt to my tcase?

going to the wreckers tomorrow to pick some other stuff up an i want to kno if this drive shaft will work to replace my 2 piece?

It has to be a 4x4 to work in your 4x4... a 2wd will not work.

the newer rangers have a 3 in bolt pattern on the t case and the old ones have a 2.5 in bolt pattern. there are flange yokes available that will fit the 2.5 in t case flange and the 1330 u-joint that is on the newer drive shafts. I got one for about $20 at a local drive line shop.

Couldn't you also run a conversion joint? 1330 to 1310?

Are there any good parts left on the '08? TAKE PICS!!!

when i go ill take pictures, all i kno is that the front end it totaled an everything else is good but ill check when i go. but i thought the 2wd rear driveshaft wont work on my 4x4 ?

it wont. lol. I was asking about if you found a 4x4 shaft, you'd need either a new flange that takes the bigger joint, or you could run a conversion joint.

I'm on the hunt for a left front corner corner lamp(next to the headlight). Lense needs to be blemish free(small small scratch is okay).
