Ok...here we go.

As some of you know the tranny went out in my 97 Expedition Eddie bauer.

I dont *think* it will be a problem to tow it on a 20 ft car hauler with my 78 F350 dually.

My question is....will 4 of the big yellow ratchet straps (one over and under the rear axle, one around the a arms, one through the hitch and one thrhough the tow hooks) be enough to hold that bad boy on a trailer?

later,
Dustin

If you can't go through it or around it, then go over it.
how many straps you got?

for the front I hook one end to the deck behind the tire about 12 - 18 inches (from the outer edge, not the center line) wrap it around the tire by going up and forward about 2/3 the height of the tire, around behind the tire and down in front of it the same 12 - 18 inches, ratchet down tight...... make sure your tires are properly inflated. reverse your order for the back or use one strap in the back hooked to the trailer hitch. if you tie it down by the frame you have to completely compress the suspension and when you release it you need to both sides at the same tine or you can spring the frame.
