when i did my 302 conversion like an idiot i took my ps pump off and looped the lines on the steering box. in a mud bog last weekend i couldn't control the truck so decided to put a pump back on. old pump went to salvage yard when scrap prices were up. went to the junk yard and got pump and mounts off of a late model ford van and hooked em up filled up the pump and cranked the truck up and the steering wheel damn came out. it was twisting back and forth like a demon, bad enough to strip the splines on the box. man,what happened and how to fix.
