Ok so i noticed a few days ago that my truck is not downshifting when i put the pedal to the floor when passing somebody or going up hills. Any ideas here on what the problem could be?

Check that the cable from the throttle to the tranny is adjusted. At the firewall, it has a tab that you depress, and pull lightly on the cable housing. Should move out some. Now with the engine off, floor the accelerator. You should hear the cable ratchet into position.
