a4ld 1st gear

can the 1st gear band be ajusted & where and how. i cant open the manual pdf error on my end.

screw the a4ld, what manual trans would work best for a 93, 3.0, 4x4, x-cab, woman driver!!!!!!

I know what other parts i need but im asking about durabilty.

The low reverse band isnt user adjustable, but can be adjusted by measuring with a special tool and ordering a different length pin. Adjustment isnt usually necessary, could the band have broken? Manual for a 3.0, suggest the m5od , I believe 1988 to 1994 are the same. A donor truck will give you all the parts ya need. A small bit of wiring mods to get backup lights. AllenD, Bentbolt, and the others here are very good on transmissions , hopefully they will jump in here.
