Hey guys,

I wanted to know because i have a cognac bottle that my godfather bought when i was born. The bottle is turning 23 on the 18th of this month. Is it still good? Can i leave it get older or it will become bad? I won't sell it, but anybody know the value of a cognac bottle that old? It's a : Remy Martin petite fine champagne. Thx for any help.

spirits don't really age in the bottle.
It's probably the same as when it was bottled.

So yeah, it's still good.

Collector value increases with age, but collectors aren't
interested in drinking only trading and aquiring.

And it's unlikely that anyone will offer you what it's worth for sentimental value...

If your godfather is still around plan on drinking it to celebrate the birth of your firstborn.... and get another (new) bottle at that time.

I like brandy, but I'm not particularly fond of cognac, I'm more into Calvados:)

Yummmmmmmm

+1 on what AD said.

I have a similar situation with a bottle of Pinch (Scotch) It is a 12 year old single barrel bottle back in '73, it got opened when a VERY good friend of mine got married (we toasted him the night before) hasn't been touched since. Although I am thinking of popping it open for a drink or wo when my little brother turns 21!!
