I am starting to notice a lot of guys in this portion of the U.S.
I would love, to have a get together..... with real live racing, and events.
My brother blew my doors today in his 76 chevy smoking like hell and all.... I would like an event catored to slow vehicles, because our trucks stock couldn't pass a geo-tracker down hill.
These are my thoughts.
1/8th mile drag racing depending on track 1/4..... extremely loose rules. head to head. All small vehicles (not car, maybe a weight limit?) welcome, bronco, jeep, RBT's, Rangers, yes S-10's those crappy frontier things, Chevy LUV's, and I'm sure I'm missing a few.
4cyl, 6cyl, naturally aspirated classes. then-other which would be N.O.S, forced induction, v-8. they would all be pretty evenly matched.
An entry fee, a purse (minus cost to rent a track)
I want to line up against one of you guys in a first gen 2.9liter 5spd, and row the gears like hell in my 97 2.3 5spd. just for kicks. and nobody would be bored with slow racing because we all love RBT's. Smoked clutches "like mine" and rust should be a common thing, of course at Windy Hollow drag way, (or bowling green even, if we could get money, and folks) show vehicles are always present.
If this generates any interest (a dyno day would be pointless, we'd all crack out 115hp, 230hp.... etc) but a sled pull (they have a mini sled at the local fairgrounds) a cruise and dinner would be nice, maybe hit a local concert that a radio station would be at. (I'm convinced with proper advertising, such an event would not be a small matter)
