Ive got a 92 exploder d35 im throwing into my ranger, and i was looking into lockers on the net, but all the splines are 27. did i confuse myself, and think that the front end was 31 spline? or is it just the rear thats 31 spline in exploders?, just curious. i did count my d35 hub up and its 27spline, :sad:
 
I don't ever recall hearing the front end is a 31 spline. I'm pretty sure it's just the rear end.

I know the jeep D35 lockers fit either the "reverse rotation" TTB D35's or the newer IFS D35's but I can't remember which. Someone here who knows more will chime in soon.
 
the dana 35 is a 27 spline front end, the sploder 8.8 is 31 spline, the ranger 8.8 Except the FX4 LVL 2 is 28 spline
 
There is a "heavy duty" D35 that has 30-splines that was used in some jeeps, but it's a kinda rare thing...

Yes, your Explorer D35 is 27-spline.

Thats the aftermarket "Super-35" kit.

30 splines was never an OE option on the D35.

I think they're 1 1/8 but I'm not sure, I have a an aussie locker in my d35, I believe it is the best and cheapest lunchbox...
