Bigger Fuel Tank For A 4 banger

I have a 97 single cab long box 4x2 with a 15 gal fuel tank. I have a wrecked 95 ex cab short box 4x4 with a 20 gal fuel tank. Will the 20 gal fit in my 97? My 2.3 Turbo is thirsty and I'm tired of filling up everyday.

Measure the spacing between the crossmembers. I'm willing to bet it won't fit. Long bed, short bed. 4X4, 4X2. These are all factors that effect interchangeability of fuel tanks.

I'd have to bet against it fitting also. You would quickly run out of room for the front of the tank.

Thanks guys. Ill get the old measuring tape out and check. Is there a bigger tank that fits a regular cab ranger?
