I went to get a quote for a paintjob on my Ranger.
It was like $770 after tax.
Prep Plus,
Presidential Paintjob,
Extra Clear coat.

I'm probably dropping it off next week.
I'm getting it repainted silver.
It was silver, rust and primer.
Now its just primer.
So after the paintjob comes the DIXIE airhorn
and the Rebelflag on the hood :icon_cheers:

You get what you pay for with a paintjob. Remember this.

I completely agree with you. I would never take any car to Maaco. Just my opionion though. I have seen some VERY crappy work from them.

Stay away from maaco. My buddy brought his car in there to have some body work done and ended up having to take the car back like 2 time because there was bubbles in the paint, a corner started to chip after a week lol. STAY AWAY from them. I havent found a satisfied person from there yet now that i think about it.

I just got my truck back from paint a few weeks ago, I went to a private shop here for it to be done, I was quoted about $5500-6000, it was in total $6300, I knew it was going to be on the high side, but the paint work done was amazing, Macco and some "$99" places wanted about $500-800 for it to be done. Big difference in price, but I know its going to last about 50 times longer. Macco is good for the car that has a bad paint job, and you want to get rid of it and get as much as you can for it.

700? don't expect it to last long, you get what you pay for, especially with body work, I expect Zman to chime in shortly...

a maaco job is just gonna get in the way and make it harder for the body man to paint your truck in a month when your paints flaking off, you will be better off painting it your self

If you really have your heart set on a cheap paintjob, prep the thing yourself, if you know what you're doing, at least that way you know the paint will stick.

$6,300........You could buy a couple good used trucks for that.
I hear horror stories about Maaco, but then I hear it about everything.
I think I'm gonna do it and then give you guys updates after a week, month,
6 months, year. All of that, Just so you can get a true story, not what a friend
says or w/e.

i spent about 800-900 on paint and body supplies to paint my last ranger. im fortunate enough to have a neighbor that does paint and body work for a living. we did all the body work in my garage, so all i had to provide was beer to keep him working. he painted the truck for 200 at the shop he worked at. then it was back to my garage to do color sanding and polishing. altogether i spent around 1500 to have a very nice paint job. too bad that truck was totaled. so if your happy with getting a macco paint job then go for it. the roof of my 88 jeep cherokee was oxidized badly. i took it to macco and they matched it perfectly. its been 5 years and havent had a problem.

See like that.......You get mixed opinions from people.
Cause someone has had bad experiences and is fed up with it,
so they start hating on Maaco haha.
The guys there were cool and everything,
and they don't look like kids that don't give a crap about their job.
So I kind of have trust in them.
