can i change bench seat to buckets w/console

So, just picked up my '02 ranger XLT and it's got the split bench. is there any way i can get a tan/black set of buckets with the center console and swap it out? anyone done this? that's the only thing that this truck didn't have :-P but also i'm asking to that maybe i can put in more supportive bucket seats from a different car and retain the console cupholders/coin things. anyone done this?
 
I'm not going to say what seats do or don't go in, but I do know there's a Tech Article of some kind about seats, in the Tech Library.
 
you can make any seats go in. u just have to have fab skills to make seat brackets. otherwise you can find a wrecked fx4 levelII or and explorer with buckets.

i used the seat brackets from the bench seats, hacked them all up and welded some angle iron to fit the Beard Racing seats. they held up pretty good in the wreck i had yesterday.

Where did you get the console? Looks good.
 
I just picked one up like that at the local pick and pull.

That's a stock Gen2/3/4 Console with a '94-up "Tandem" cup holder.

Though he must have painted the console, because they were never made
in black, the cup holder was but the rest of the console is color keyed to
the interior of the original vehicle.

Allan would you happen to know if i could take the center console from my 84 b2 EB and put it into my current truck? if its possible would i be able to use the little panel in there? the one with the lights showing low fuel and the other indicators.

Anything is possible with enough time, money, and imagination. The wiring of the center console thing maybe a little tricky but definitely doable.
 
thats always true... il be trying to disassemble it tonight...
Edit...wont work couldnt get it out il just go without one.
