coolant problem, Over priced

I just checked the coolant in my resivor(sp?) and it appers my 50/50 is all water now but same level theres a lot of dirt in the bottom of the tank(which ive known about but haven been able to clean it all out in two changes.

But anyways i got it flushed and changed my oil 172 dollars later coolant still looks dirty!:icon_confused:

You got ripped off in a big way. Sorry to be so blunt but an oil change is a $30 job and a coolant flush isn't much more than that. And there is no way that your coolant changed into water by itself. If I were you, I'd take your truck to another shop and have them look at it and tell you what the first shop did wrong.
 
Oil change yes at $30, coolant flush with shop machine about $70. Depending on anti-freeze used it could look clear. 5+ year A/F is yellow(ish) in color, so may look like water, standard A/F is green. Flush should have flushed "dirt" in reservoir. You could just remove reservoir and empty/flush it then re-fill with 50/50 pre-mix. Some sediment may still collect in res. depending on how much in system.
 
the flush was 109 by itself oil was 32 or something should i go back and complain it looks no cleaner than when ive done it i think this is the last time i use them ive had problems before such as torquing my lugs over 150. I normally do this stuff myself but i dont have timeright now( i leave for a long trip sunday), eventhough i sat there 2 f-ing hours:pissedoff: i coulda done it in that time and not waste all the gas they did( they left idleing forever)

do you think theres a chance to get my money back or at least some.:annoyed:

Well for $109 I would expect they did a super premium job. If you're unhappy go back and ask how and what they did and explain you're unhappy with sediment found. Get them to test the A/F in the reservoir to see what the boiling/freezing point is.
 
You can also buy an antifreeze/coolant tester at the parts store for a few bucks and test it yourself. This will tell you if they added enough coolant (or any at all) so you'll know if that's really just water you are seeing or if they just used a coolant that doesn't have much color to it.
 
This could also happen if they ofverdiluted the mix.
The dirt may also come from any part of your cooling system wich dirt came loose after the flushing. HOWEVER. This only indicates how lowsy theyr job was as well as how messed up your cooling system may be.
Watch the temperature gauge closely during your trip.
