Am I doing any damage?

My clutch is chattering and does not engage very smoothly.

I bolt was missing from my bellhousing. I reinstalled it and torqued them all. I still get the chatter.

I get no vibration once the clutch is out. Am I doing any damage driving with this chatter issue? I won't have time to look at it for a couple of weeks.

Thanks.

Sounds like a bad slave cylinder... I had that same issue a couple weeks ago... I would drive like that for too long... If you must at least try rev matching so it goes slightly smoother.

It's just first gear when I have to slip the clutch to start moving. Once it out no problem. Really feels like the clutch is just grabbing strange.

Maybe I've got a rear seal leak? It doesn't look like it though.

Ya if your slave is going out it wont fully engage the clutch making it chatter... 1st gear was the worst for me too...

Your clutch is chattering?

Did you have the flywheel resurfaced?

If not now you know WHY you are supposed to resurface.
