Got a pair of these for free, just wondering about stuffing them under an 89 Ranger. I've read they will be very stiff, especially under a 2.9. Stiff is really okay, but I bought the truck with shackles in the rear, so it has quite a rake to it. maybe the coils will level it up? I'm really just thinking out loud, so any post which is remotely in context is appreciated......

Can't hurt to try them...

Whether they lift it up enough will depend on what cab style & engine the F-150 had, along with what cab style yours is (the most lift will come from F-150 Supercab coils going into a Ranger reg cab).

Another (more predictable) option is to get a pair of coil spacers to go underneath the stock coils on your Ranger. A set of 1.25" thick spacers will get you close to 2" of lift up front. You will need to realign the frontend afterward (same goes for using the F-150 coils).

Hope that helps.
