Found this article on CNN. Kid is trying to protest speeding ticket with the GPS system he has on his car so his parents can track where he is at and how fast he goes. I guess his parents get notified when he goes above 70mph. Interesting article.

OH MY GOD! My ex girlfriend had that installed on her car and i was taking the highway in her car where the speed limit is 75. Her parents had it set to 75 and if anything went over that, her dad would get an email and a text message. Shoot she must have gottin 20 calls from her dad on our 200 mile trip telling us to slow down lol. I would maybe get up to 80 at the most, but dang I hate those things. I mean just let her (or me) get a speeding ticket. (if Im really speeding) The artical is pretty cool. I could see a lot of controversy over it in court.

Rental car agencies have a similar thing now. They can receive notifications when you speed, and I think some charge you for it.
