I just got done doing some work on this '87 2.3.

Compression test:

Current vs previous:(on the original head, which has been changed)
#1: 135..............140
#2: 125-130.......140
#3: 140..............130
#4: 140..............125

Also did a vacuum test, which resulted in a steady 15 at first, then drops to about 13-14 and fluctuating.

Smooth idle at first, then gets a little rough, but not too bad. Sometimes feels like it misses, and is down on power. So what do all these things tell me?

I'm guessing the difference in compression is a result of valves, old head vs new head(used, and hasn't been done over by a shop yet)?

Going back out in a few to do the KOEO/KOER tests.

Ok, if I did this right, I got the following:

KOEO:
14 - PIP circuit failure
31 - EVP circuit below minimum voltage

KOER:
34 - EVP voltage above closed limit
25 - Knock sensor not tested (ignore if not pinging)

So I'm guessing that means I have an EGR/EVP problem then, yes?
