what standard transmissions fit on a 3.0 v6?, bolt patterns? v6?

want to get rid of my 4r44e out of my 95 ext cab 4x4, now looking for a m5od r1 but i can find one with the 3.0 bell housing.. anyone know if the 4.0, 2.9, or 2.3 will fit?

If I remember correctly the 3.0 has a different bolt pattern than the 4.0, 2.9, and the 2.3.

3.0 is different that the others. An M5OD, is best choice, but early 3.0 Aerostar vans had a 5sp, ToyoKogo I believe (AllenD?) but the M5OD is better I believe, and should be a bolt in with a donor truck.

Only a 3.0 case will fit, but if you can find a 2.3 version of the trans
I have a few 3.0 bare cases and you could then swap your internal parts over...

ill let you know allanD if i need one, but are the tail shafts swappable?? if i wanted to convert from 4x4 to 2wd.. cause all my friends have prerunner trucks and my 4wd is freaakin HEAAAVY!!!!

At that point you'd be better off just selling the 4wd trans and buying a 2wd. You'd make money in the process and save a lot of time.

im worried about drive shaft fitting, i mean if i did use the m5odr1 with 2wd tailshaft what driveshafts would fit? its a ext cab 1995

Anyeone by chance have a 2wd tailshaft or 4wd? Top plate? and shifter stem?

i found a tranny locally rebuilt for 750 with a 6 month warranty.. WOOHOOO!!!!:icon_hornsup::headbang::yahoo::icon_cheers:
