Super44 is by far the best sounding, meanest sounding, deepest sounding muffler i've ran on my truck...I'm on muffler #6 to find the one thats' right for me. Now...gotta spend the money and have my entire cat back redone again. lol. duals this time. (i'm a 4.0 though).

I've heard the Delta 40 on a 3.0 with stock piping...and WOW...it realllly sounds good. Super44 must totally crush it.
 
How loud is the Super 44? I went with the Thrush Welded and it's way too loud! I listened to some videos and it seemed to be alright. I just want SOME noise, nothing that's really really loud like the Thrush I just bought.
 
I just put a 2.5" side in side out super 44 on my 91 4.0L. I'm loving the sound of it and i've got a super short tail pipe that exits right after the cab above the frame rail. I don't find it too loud, but I guess its personal preference.
 
Mine goes to about the rear axle and it's loud as hell. It's only 2.25 pipe too.

Can you post a picture of how you ran it? I spent all day on mine and it resonates under the bed. I'm about to pay to have someone do it!
 
Tom, are you dumped? muffler then after that nothing? Thats your problem right there.
 
Seriously? That's my only problem? I'm going to be pissed if it is! lol. Is it going to ruin my brake lines or parking brake cable from the heat coming out of the exhaust being dumped onto that shit? Or should it be alright. Still though, the Thrush welded is loud as hell.
 
Yea, mine exits right behind the passenger side cab corner pretty much. Tucked it up out of the way as I crushed my last exhaust wheeling. Figured it was a good time to upgrade to 2.5 pipe from the cat back.
 
I think i'm just going to take it to a muffler shop. I've about had it with hangers and clamps.
