Can anyone tell me if an automatic transmission from an 87 crown vic ltd would bolt up and work in my 86 ranger with a 87 2.9l engine? Thanks for any help on this.
 
Completely different. No chance at all.
 
ok thanks. I just looked up in my tranny repair book I wasn't thinking the crown vic's had a 302 in them. Would that mean they have a c4 or c5 behind them?
 
More likely a AOD.
