prekey mod height

can anyone who has done the prekey mod get some measurements for me? my question is the height measured from the ground to the top of the wheel well after the swap and with the bolts at stock crank. thanks!

i would also like to know this, i think it's 1" 1/4 over stock but not sure

Why would you not try turning your stock keys up before going to the hassle of disassembling and installing new (used) keys?

You might be able to get the height you are after by simply turning up the keys you have.

Keep in mind, Ford quite commonly sizes their shocks to the stock ride height... So you will likely need shocks too.

Probably because 2008's sit a lot lower than the 98-07 trucks do.

I did a crank on an 08 and it could just barely clear 265/75r16's.

He did ask about pre keys at stock height... that would likely equal 08+ keys maxed out.

id try maxing out the keys and then determine whether you need new keys after that

I'm 37 inches from ground to fender flare in the front. I'm sitting on 33x12.5R15's and maxed prekey's. Hope that helps!

just got done prekey and shackles

i'm 36 1/4" to fender flares front and rear with 31x10.5 (31's measure 30.6")
